Roboportal is hosted as a real MCP server at https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp. No install, no shared credentials, no local server to run - any MCP client that speaks OAuth + Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591) can just add the URL. The client registers itself automatically, redirects you to log in with your own real account (sign up first if you don't have one), and from then on acts as you - same fair queue, same safety supervisor, same everything a browser session gets, driving the real skidbot robot.

Run from any terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http roboportal https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp

Approve the OAuth login when prompted - it opens a browser to your account's login page.

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, URL https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp. It walks you through the same OAuth login.

Add to .cursor/mcp.json (project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (global) - no auth block needed, that's only for providers without Dynamic Client Registration:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "roboportal": { "url": "https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp" }
  }
}

Reload the window - it opens a browser for the OAuth login.

Add to .vscode/mcp.json (project) or via the Command Palette's MCP: Open User Configuration (your profile, all workspaces) - note the root key is servers, not mcpServers like the others:

{
  "servers": {
    "roboportal": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp" }
  }
}

Point it at https://mcp.roboportal.io/mcp and let it discover /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server - this follows the standard MCP auth spec, no client-specific config needed beyond the URL.
